4. Arrange artwork
5. Place nominations boxes in Local Area Commands for peer nominations
6. Arrange venue and entertainment for presentation night
7. Invite dignitaries
8. Enter nominations on database and arrange judging
9. Invite nominees to presentation night
10. Arrange trophies and program for presentation night
11. Distribute excess funds to local youth groups

Judging Criteria for the Rotary Police Officer of the Year Awards

The following categories will be judged:-

·        General Duties

·        Investigators / Detectives

·        First-Year Constables

·        Traffic Branch

·        Specialists

 

Police Officers are assessed on outstanding acts of courtesy, kindness, understanding, compassion, courage and devotion to duty. Overall, assessment is made on the principles of “Service Above Self”.

Judging is based on content of nomination. The more detail that can be provided about an Officer and a particular event, the more information the judging panel has with which to make a decision.

The judging panel will comprise of 2 Senior Police Officers and 2 Rotary Past District Governors.

All reference to the personal details of the Police Officer is removed from the nomination form for the purpose of judging.
